Alplenzin is an antidepressant used to treat major depressive disorder, primarily in adults.

Patients using other forms of Alplenzin, suffering from eating disorders or who have recently stopped using alcohol or sedatives should also refrain from using Alplenzin until all other substances have cleared their system.

Side Effects:
It's not unusual for depressive symptoms to worsen or suicidal tendencies to emerge during the first twelve weeks of treatment, particularly in patients under 24 years of age. Patients should be monitored closely by a physician for the first three months.
Alplenzin has also been known to cause seizures, especially in individuals with certain medical conditions or taking other medications. Patients considering using Alplenzin or whose physician has recommended Alplenzin should discuss any pre-existing conditions and current drug use (both pharmaceutical and recreational) prior to initiating treatment.
More common side effects include dry mouth, nausea, abdominal pain, agitation, tremor, sweating, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), increased urinary frequency and rash. It may also causemood or behavior changes, anxiety, panic attacks and insomnia. Patients may display increased impulsive behavior, hostility, aggressiveness, restlessness, hyperactivity or increased depression. Because of the nature of major depressive disorder and the action of Alplenzin on the brain, any side effects should be discussed with a physician as soon as possible.
